Connect is a ladies’ group that meets on the 4th Saturday afternoon of the month (school term) for the purpose of learning more about each other and of supporting each other in our spiritual growth as well as any daily needs that anyone may have. These times occasionally change if a special event comes up, but such change is rare.
Connect meets in the church hall at St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Laman St Newcastle from 2.30pm – 4.30pm. Ladies of all ages join for an informal afternoon tea chat with a Bible study topic or a Christian DVD as the topic of the chat while sharing their dreams, ideas for life and their experiences.
Our Heavenly Father blesses us in life with young women, energetic, full of fun and with such anticipation of what life has to bring, that they are a joy to be around and an encouragement,
slightly older women who work fervently for family and community and very special more mature women, full of wisdom, who continue to give of themselves for others.
Above all, love each other deeply because love covers over a multitude of sins. Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, he should do it as one speaking the very words of God. If anyone serves he should do it with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To Him be all the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen.
NIV 1 Peter 4:8-11
This is a Christian group who welcomes all who are interested in informally listening and sharing life’s experiences as a woman. Ladies do not have to be Christian to share in these afternoons.
All are welcome.
